Why Biodynamic massage therapy?
Biodynamic massage therapy is a kind approach to healing and development. Based on body psychotherapy, I work towards the client’s personal, emotional, and spiritual integration by bringing the client into a relationship with his or her body. My role is guide and facilitator, I do not diagnose or prescribe. The work is powerful, yet gentle and respectful. The pace will never be faster than is comfortable for the client.
My work is to hold a space for the client to embark on a process of self-discovery, healing, and transformation. Over time, in the safe setting of the therapy room, I aim to build a relationship of trust where the client is free to be themselves and to feel.
The sessions are all about you.
Acceptance and exploration are key to this work.
Communication and feedback are key to building the therapeutic relationship.
Each massage is tailored to the client, and each session is unique.
The massage can be relaxing, invigorating, or even challenging, depending on your own personal needs.
I work with clients in blocks of six to eight weekly sessions, and I take time with the client to review progress at the end of each block of sessions. In the review, we decide whether we have reached a point of closure, or if we want to work for a longer period of time, which is possible with biodynamic massage.
If you feel that biodynamic massage is right for you please get in touch and we can arrange an initial consultation.
